Public Call for SMEs: Apply for CBAM Training

Eda – Enterprise Development Agency announces a public call for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in training on the topic of CBAM – Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

The training is intended for owners, managers, and employees of SMEs involved in export activities, sustainability, energy management, environmental protection, manufacturing, finance, reporting, or other areas relevant to CBAM.

The objective of the training is to provide companies with fundamental and practically applicable knowledge about CBAM, its implications for business operations, reporting obligations, and possible compliance and adaptation strategies.

The training programme will cover an introduction to CBAM and its regulatory requirements, implications for SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the basics of carbon emissions and reporting, compliance strategies, the financial and operational impacts of CBAM, and the integration of CBAM requirements into business strategy.

The training will be held on 25 and 26 June 2026 in Banja Luka. Selected participants will be informed of the exact venue in due time.

This public call is published within the framework of the DESET – Digitally Enabled Sustainable Energy Transition of Manufacturing SMEs project, implemented with the support of the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), within the EU Initiative for Private Sector Development.

The DESET project is implemented by DIH IDEMO, consisting of Eda – Enterprise Development Agency as the lead project partner, together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, the Innovation Centre Banja Luka, and the Development Agency of Republika Srpska.
