New Generation of Auditors: Certified Training for ISO 50001 Begins

In Banja Luka, a certified training for internal energy management auditors under the ISO 50001:2018 standard has begun, aimed at professionals who want to provide quality support to manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises in the energy transition process.

The training involves 12 specialists from various sectors, who will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct internal audits of energy management systems (EnMS) in accordance with ISO 50001:2018, and understand how energy management contributes to reducing energy consumption, costs, and CO₂ emissions. The training includes a combination of theoretical and practical work, including exercises, group tasks, and audit simulations, led by an internationally accredited IRCA trainer.

Participants who successfully complete the training will receive internationally recognized certificates, enabling them to take an active role in energy transition processes and in improving the competitiveness of industrial enterprises in BiH.

The training is organized by Eda – Enterprise Development Agency within the DESET project – Digitally Enabled Sustainable Energy Transition of manufacturing SMEs, with the support of the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), under the EU4PSD – EU Private Sector Development initiative, which is part of the broader GIZ SEDEP program, additionally funded by the Swiss Government.

The DESET project is implemented by DIH IDEMO, consisting of Eda – Enterprise Development Agency as the lead project partner, together with partners – Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka, Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Innovation Center Banja Luka, and Development Agency of Republika Srpska.
