Launch of the SME Support Program for the Green Transition

May 7, 2026

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska has initiated the implementation of a support program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the process of green transition, within the project “Digital and Sustainable Green Transition of SMEs in RS – DiGreenSMEs.”

This week marked the start of direct engagement with companies, with the first activities launched in Vendom d.o.o. Laktaši and Mikroelektronika a.d. Banja Luka.

The program is aimed at strengthening the capacities of export-oriented SMEs to plan and implement green transition activities through a concrete, individualized approach.

Through the program, companies will receive:
✔ an assessment of their digital and green readiness by a green transition consultant and certified digital transformation consultants,
✔ identification of priority measures to improve energy and resource efficiency,
✔ development of an individualized green transition roadmap,
✔ support in implementing digital solutions that contribute to cost reduction, process optimization, and minimizing negative environmental impact.

Through this program, we continue to support the economy towards sustainable and competitive business practices.

The DiGreenSMEs project is implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska within the Private Sector Development Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is part of the broader GIZ program “Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“TOGETHER WE SHAPE A COMPETITIVE ECONOMY IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA.”
