AI FORWARD in Practice: Participants Put Their Knowledge into Action

July 1, 2026

One of the participants in the Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Business training, organized within the AI FORWARD project, was Jasna Jović, founder and director of Gloria Line, a domestic sock manufacturer that has successfully operated for three decades in one of the most demanding markets, both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

GLORIA LINE is a family-owned company established in 1996. Today, it employs 56 people and operates 68 Lonati machines, manufactured by one of the world’s leading producers of sock manufacturing equipment.

With more than 120 different products in its portfolio and a presence in both domestic and international markets, GLORIA LINE continuously invests in development, innovation, and business improvement.

The desire to expand knowledge about artificial intelligence and its practical application in business processes was the main motivation for participating in the AI FORWARD training programme.

Jasna particularly emphasized the value of the programme’s practical approach and the clear understanding it provided of which AI tools are best suited to specific business needs, enabling faster and more efficient decision-making in everyday operations.

The knowledge gained is already being actively applied in business communication, research into specific industry needs, and the creative development of new product ideas and designs.

Examples like this demonstrate that artificial intelligence has already become an important tool across nearly all manufacturing industries seeking to remain competitive, innovative, and prepared for the future.

The AI FORWARD project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ). It is supported under the EU Initiative for Private Sector Development (EU4PSD), which is part of the broader GIZ SEDEP programme, also co-financed by the Swiss Government.
