The Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, as a member of DIH IDEMO, is continuously implementing activities within the project “Digitally Sustainable Green Transition of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in RS – DiGreenSMEs”, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of the economy to adapt to the requirements of digital and green transition.
The DiGreenSMEs project is implemented by the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska within the Private Sector Development Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support from the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, and is part of the broader GIZ program “Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Through a comprehensive approach that includes education, skills development, and the establishment of new support services, the project is aimed at improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as strengthening the capacity of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska to provide professional support to the business community.
One of the key activities was the implementation of the ESG Academy – an educational program intended for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, which was successfully completed in December 2025. Through four thematic modules, more than 70 participants gained knowledge about ESG principles, the European Union regulatory framework, and the practical application of standards in the fields of environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The program covered topics such as climate change, resource management, labor rights, community relations, as well as risk management and reporting.
As a result of the activities implemented so far, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska has also developed a new service, “Partner for Green Transition”, which provides companies with advisory and operational support in transitioning to sustainable and digital business models, including access to relevant information, expertise, and partners.
In the next phase of the project, the focus is on direct support to small and medium-sized enterprises through a public call for participation in a support program, which includes an assessment of the level of digital and green readiness, the development of individualized green transition roadmaps, and support in implementing digital solutions in the field of green transition.
The Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) IDEMO (Innovation Digitalization Enabling Meso Organization) consists of the Innovation Centre Banja Luka, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, the Development Agency of Republika Srpska, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Banja Luka, and the Enterprise Development Agency EDA.
