EDA – the Enterprise Development Agency, together with its partners – the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, the Banja Luka Innovation Center, and the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska – has announced a Public Call for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) interested in improving energy management and digitalization.
The call is launched under the DESET project (Digitally Enabled Sustainable Energy Transition of Manufacturing SMEs), implemented with financial support from the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ) as part of the EU Private Sector Development initiative – EU4PSD. EU4PSD is part of the broader GIZ SEDEP program, which is additionally funded by the Swiss Government.
The DESET project is implemented by DIH IDEMO, which consists of EDA – Enterprise Development Agency as the lead partner, together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Banja Luka, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, the Banja Luka Innovation Center, and the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska.
The call is open to privately-owned manufacturing SMEs based in BiH, registered in the wood, metal, food, and plastics processing sectors. Selected companies will receive technical and financial support for improving energy management and implementing digital solutions. Areas of support include:
- Conducting energy audits and implementing digital energy consumption monitoring;
- Developing and applying software solutions for energy management;
- Procuring equipment with sensors for energy consumption tracking;
- Technical preparation for certification according to ISO 50001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Interested companies should submit the completed application form and accompanying documentation electronically to eda@edabl.org or by post/in person to EDA at Đure Jakšića 11, 78000 Banja Luka.
